Evidence of effectiveness

Results from a quasi-experimental evaluation (unpublished report written in 2018) supported the effectiveness of Mosaic for middle school students. This evaluation included 749 grade 6 through 8 students (80% white; 3% eligible for free or reduced-price lunch (FRPL)). This evaluation found that students who participated in the program demonstrated a significant increase in self-reported growth mindset, self-efficacy, and sense of belonging compared to students in the comparison group (outcomes reported 19 weeks after baseline).

How does Mosaic support SEL implementation across multiple settings?

“The Mosaic by ACT SEL program is a flexible, blended K-12 solution that can be used in schools, as part of an extracurricular program, virtually, or in a hybrid model. The curriculum includes parent and family resources, including webinars, home connections, and activities, to make SEL a shared language of success.”
